Afsoun Semsar is heading our Global Mobility Practice group and advises our clients in all areas of immigration law. Mrs. Semsar's practice focuses on employment and investment related visas such as E-2 treaty investor visas,  L-1 intra-company transferee visas and specialty occupation H-1B visas.

​

In addition, Mrs. Semsar guides foreign individual investors through the process of obtaining permanent residency through investments in the United States via the EB-5 visa category. She also advises individuals on setting up EB-5 regional investor centers in the United States in which foreign investors will then invest as EB-5 investors.

​

Afsoun Semsar graduated in 2006 from David A. Clark School of Law where she was  was awarded a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. While at law school, Ms. Semsar participated in several law clinics aimed at assisting D.C. residents with legal matters.  Prior to law school she attended Florida State University where she was awarded a Bachelor's degree in both International Affairs and Political Science.

Mrs. Semsar has lived and worked abroad at institutions such as the European Parliament in Brussels. She is admitted to the bar of the District of Columbia and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association and the American Bar Association.

Mrs. Semsar is fluent in several foreign languages such as Farsi, German and French.
